FC Barcelona are officially the best club side in the world after beating South American champions Santos 4-0 in the final of the Club World Cup at the Yokohama Stadium in Japan.
The European champions cantered to victory thanks to goals from Lionel Messi (2), Xavi and Cesc Fabregas.

FC Barcelona showed excellent resilience to bounce back at the Santiago Bernabeu as the champions recovered from conceding within the 22 seconds to defeat bitter rivals Real Madrid 3-1 in the seventh and final Clasico of 2011.
Next up for Real Madrid is a trip to Ponferradina on Tuesday as they look to defend their Copa del Rey title. Barcelona now head to Japan where they will feature in the Club World Cup. Their first task will be a semi-final meeting against either Esperance or Al Sadd on Thursday.

FC Barcelona strolled to a comfortable 4-0 win over BATE Borisov in their final group game. Sergi Roberto got the ball rolling for this youthful Blaugrana side before second half goals from Pedro (2) and Martin Montoya ensured that Barça ended the group stage on a high.
Barça showed they have plenty of exciting talent coming through the ranks when a team of youngsters lit up Camp Nou by thrashing Bate in Champion League match.
