FCBarcelona 2-2 ACMilan

The full-time whistle goes at the Camp Nou, and Barcelona have been held to a 2-2 draw as Thiago Silva’s last-gasp equaliser rescues a valuable point for Milan!
Barca, kings of Europe four times compared to the seven triumphs of their opening opponents, began as favourites to become the first club to retain the trophy since Milan achieved the feat in 1990, but it was the Italian champions who were by far the happier with a point in the opening fixture.

AC Milan shocked Champions League holders Barcelona by taking a point home from Camp Nou on Tuesday night after securing a surprise 2-2 draw in the sides’ opening game in Group H.

Pedro and David Villa were the host’s heroes as they netted a goal either side of the half-time break to cancel out Alexandre Pato’s instantaneous opener.

But, in the third minute of stoppage time, Thiago Silva popped up inside the box to meet Clarene Seedorf’s corner with a powerful header which flew into the net to snatch a late point.
